Safety isn't a department. It's how we move every litre.
From our depot operations in Kampala to fuel on the road across Uganda, health, safety and environmental care are built into every stage of how we import, store and deliver energy — the same standard we're carrying with us as we expand into new East African markets.
Zero harm is the target. Every day is the practice.
Axxol Energies handles products that, if mismanaged, can put people, property and the environment at risk — and we accept that responsibility in full. Our approach is simple: identify the risk before it becomes an incident, hold every team member and partner to the same standard, and never treat safety as optional, whether we're loading a tanker at the depot or delivering to a client three districts away.
Health
Protecting the physical wellbeing of our staff, drivers, depot workers and the communities we operate near.
Safety
Preventing incidents at every handling point — storage, loading, transport and delivery.
Environment
Preventing spills, controlling emissions and protecting Uganda's land, air and water resources.
Depot & Handling Safety
Every litre we distribute passes through controlled storage and loading before it reaches the road. That's where fire, spill and exposure risks are highest — so it's where our controls are strictest, from bunded tanks to permit-based access.
Applies ToRoad & Fleet Safety
For a bulk fuel distributor, most of the risk isn't at the depot — it's on the road. Every tanker movement, from import points to client sites across Uganda, follows vetted driver standards, planned routes and pre-trip checks before a single litre leaves the yard.
Applies ToEnvironmental Stewardship
Handling petroleum responsibly means protecting the land, water and air around every depot and delivery route. It's also why we're growing our clean energy offering alongside our core fuel business — reducing the footprint of how East Africa gets its energy over time.
Applies ToOne cycle, repeated on every operation.
The same four-step discipline runs across depots, routes and client sites — and it never stops turning.
Identify
Assess every site, route and handling point for potential hazards before operations begin.
Prevent
Put controls, training and equipment in place to stop incidents before they happen.
Respond
Trained teams and response plans ready to contain and manage any incident quickly.
Review
Every incident and near-miss reviewed to strengthen the next operation.
Built around Uganda's regulatory framework — and ready to scale.
Our HSE practices are guided by the laws and institutions that govern how petroleum and energy products move in Uganda. As we expand into new East African markets, we're carrying the same standard with us — and progressively aligning our systems with recognised international frameworks such as ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) as we scale.
Safety is everyone's responsibility — including yours.
